S.A.M.Y.'s Alpaca Farm
is located 10 km north of Strathroy in Southwestern Ontario,
Canada.
We started on our
Alpaca Farm in the summer of 2004 with 8 beautiful and lovable
alpacas. Our goal was to grow our herd through selective
breeding and sell alpaca live stock, offer boarding and stud
service.
Over
the years our focuse changed and we added the fibre
studio to our farm and put more emphasize on the real
alpaca end product. Fibre! We are a founding member farm
of the Alpaca
Fibre Co-operative of Ontario Inc. and are building up our
studio. The studio will have other natural fibre
products beside alpaca. I am thinking of angora, mohair,
wool and other beautiful natural fibre.

My name is S.A.M.Y.'s Sir Jack
Storm. I was the last one to arrive this year. My
mom snuck me in between visits to the barn by these
nosy humans. Mom tried to wait for them to leave,
but they are getting better at watching us. Anyway,
she did it and I was born in the privacy of our cozy
barn on July 11, 2009 during a thunder
storm..

I arrived just the other day. I came to the world in the usual way.
Meaning my mom Sheena waited until nobody was at home
and busied herself to give birth. My name - S.A.M.Y.'s
Lady Elizabeth, born June 16, 2009!

I arrived June
2nd 2009 with lots of excitement. First - nobody
expected me yet, nobody was home either. My mum and
her girlfriends had found an open gate that morning
and had fun in the neighbours cornfield, then it
happened! I was born in the ditch! Lucky I am a
girl, named S.A.M.Y.'s Lady Désirée, or Daisy for
short, otherwise it would have been
"Ditch"!

Our herd has been growing steadily
over the years! They all have their own personality;
from the timid one, to the curious one or the bossy
one. They know their names and love their treats. |
