Sir Winston
born June 24, 2005

I am hungry I am still hungry

Of course we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first cria. Sheena is an experienced mom and we knew we should not worry at all. But I guess I have an idea now how grand parents feel, when the first grand child arrives.

Sheena's due date was June 19. And that "baby" did not arrive on time! I kept a close eye on Sheena, because I wanted to be there. I don't know how many times a day I ran out to the pasture to have a look. I bet Sheena started to think - "why is this weird lady always staring at my belly".

Well, Friday comes around. I had to leave for a couple of hours. And of course that is when it happened. When I got back Sheena and her son where standing in the doorway and - I had the impression Sheena had a little smile, like "tricked you".

Alpacas Ontario Show 2005

We showed Sleet and McDuff at the Alpaca Ontario Show 2005. It was a great experience! We met other breeders, venders and alpaca "fanatics". It was reassuring and good to see that other people have the same ideas and passion for these beautiful creatures.
