Hanging out together |
|
I am always amazed about that strong herd instinct the alpacas have. They stay together and look out for each other. At night, if they sleep outside in the pasture, they lay down in a circle, facing outwards, so they can cover all the directions. The younger ones are sleeping in the middle. If they sleep in the barn, one is sitting in the doorway, observing the pasture. If they escape (of course they did) they stay together, nobody gets left behind. (Wasn't this an important family value in the kid's movie, Lilo and Stitch) |
